About Me.
Born, raised, and educated in the Midwest, I'm an East-Coast transplant. I have a tendency to wave at babies and pet dogs, which my Long Islander friend assures me will get me into trouble.
My first performance was at our local YMCA when I was five in a dramatization of a picture book - I've been hooked ever since. Shakespeare, straight plays, and film have been my passions, and I harbor a secret love of musical theater. I've begun my improv and stand-up journeys and discovered I can be pretty funny. I want to create work that encourages audiences to abandon old ways of thinking and imagine a new future, whether social, racial, economic, environmental. IU educated, New York hardened, corn-fed. |
Sullivan maintained a sense of realism – engaging the audience through the dramatic moments beautifully. The character’s emotions built well, and one could connect to her pain. Sullivan’s dedication to the character covered for a few hiccups in continuity within this powerful script. [...] Both actresses allowed for their natural abilities to shine through while complementing their ‘other half'."

"Emily Sullivan’s portrayal of Scout showed great sensitivity and an inner life that ushered the audience through much of the drama."
Mariama Sano, Showtones.

Writing. My second degree and other love is English. My training allows me to more deeply appreciate the work of the playwright with whom I'm creating and dive deeper into language. I write poetry, plays, and screenplays.
